Frontier Energy is seeking a Program Consultant to provide an advanced level of support to an energetic multifamily energy efficiency and decarbonization programs, with a focus on program design, implementation, marketing and engagement to key stakeholders. This position is fully remote.
Responsibilities:
The Program Consultant will work with clients on projects that promote energy efficiency and decarbonization. Current anticipated project needs include managing applications and program design for energy efficiency programs, with an emphasis on multifamily program delivery. Finally, the ideal candidate will direct and oversee cross functioning team member’s work and supporting their professional growth. Though each project will have its own specific set of goals and objectives, the Program Consultant responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and manage budgets, milestone timelines, schedules, and reporting deliverables.
• Develop and oversee program processes for efficient, effective and reliable program execution.
• Formulate, direct, and coordinate program activities and policies.
• Ensure stakeholder buy-in through client and customer engagement.
• Perform and direct research and analysis, then develop clear and concise written summaries of findings.
• Oversee and manage project team members and their assigned tasks.
• Provide support to team members for professional development.
• Actively manage client relationships by maintaining excellent communication with clients, stakeholders, partners, and the public to further program goals.
Qualifications:
• 3-6 years’ experience working on energy efficiency, decarbonization and/or other resource programs preferably in the multifamily sector
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with superb attention to detail
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in all market sectors at all organizational levels in a professional, ethical, and nonpartisan manner
• Able to work independently as a self-motivated team player
• “Customer service” ethic to serve our clients and program partners
• Proficient with MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS PowerPoint®, MS Outlook®, Adobe Acrobat, and Windows® operating systems
• An understanding of building science, energy efficiency principles and practice
• Must be able to participate in work events during non-business hours as required
• B.A. in English, communications, policy, economics, environmental science or related major
Preferred skills/experience:
• Experience with local government agencies, California regulatory agencies, and regional and state level utility stakeholders
• Experience supporting direct reports and/or managing teams
• Located in the Bay Area or elsewhere in California with the ability to travel to the Bay Area as needed
