Project Engineer
Agha Engineering, LLC. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Transportation team in our growing Houston, Texas office.
For Candidates located in Austin, Bryan, Dallas, or San Antonio, a remote position will be considered.
Our office location is inside of the Energy Corridor, (1080 Eldridge Pkwy, Houston, TX 77077).
Duties And Responsibilities
- Design and plan production for general civil on a wide variety of projects, including roadway and highway design, horizontal and vertical alignments and geometric design, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, traffic control and associated civil engineering activities .
- Perform quantity calculations
- Conduct permitting with Jurisdictional Authorities
- Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
- Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed
- Function as Project Manager Assistant or Project Engineer as needed
- Review work of other professionals and technicians as needed
- Serve as a technical expert in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity as needed
- Plan and develop projects or design activities with significant impact on major company programs as needed
- Prepare/Review civil engineering scope of work for proposals
- Engage with clients to build relationships and be involved project related production meetings
- Perform other duties as needed
Required Skills
- Strong operating knowledge of Microstation / OpenRoads Designer (ORD)
- Knowledge of the RDM Roadway Design Manual and AASHTO
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
Required Experience
- BS degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed as a professional engineer (PE) in the State of Texas or ability to acquire within 12 months of employment.
- 4+ years civil engineering experience
