We have been retained to conduct an executive search for a Propulsion Fluid Analysis Leader for a multi-billion-dollar global aerospace company. Our client designs and builds air and spacecraft capable of transporting and carrying a variety of products and payloads to space. They are an industry leader supporting various military, government, and commercial customers.
The Propulsion Fluid Analysis Leader will oversee analysis supporting development and recurring programs. He/She will manage a team of mechanical and chemical engineers in strategic and tactical technical decisions.
The Propulsion Fluid Analysis Leader will:
- Lead teams that perform propulsion fluids analysis in support of development and recurring programs.
- Lead teams that implement strategic and tactical technical decisions regarding fluids analyses on propellant, pressurization, feedline, and ground systems - both cryogenic and non-cryogenic.
- Lead engineering teams regarding process and tool consistency and provide technical oversight.
- Occasionally be consulted by Chief Engineers, Engineering leads, customers, and suppliers for advice.
- Provide problem-solving direction and guidance for the most challenging, complex, multi-discipline problems.
- When anomalies occur, provide causal analysis leadership to effective resolution and corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
- Direct analysis process improvements that reduce cost and risk and/or improve vehicle performance.
- Ensure engineers are mentored in this field.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in engineering or a related technical field from an accredited university/college is required.
- At least eight years of applicable experience in the associated technical or administrative area, plus a minimum of four years of management or leadership experience leading teams of exempt and non-exempt employees.
