About the Role: The ERP & Business Systems Architect will serve as a critical link between our information systems (IS) capabilities and our business objectives. This role is responsible for managing, optimizing, and enhancing our ERP system, while also overseeing broader business systems analysis and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ERP management (preferably with Epicor), strong project management skills, and the ability to analyze data and develop custom reporting solutions to support business intelligence needs.
Key Responsibilities:
ERP Management & Customization:
- Manage day-to-day ERP operations, ensuring data integrity and security protocols (SoD).
- Lead projects related to ERP module implementations, including third-party product integrations.
- Design and integrate customized ERP solutions to meet business needs.
- Develop and maintain ERP-specific reports, dashboards, and business intelligence tools.
Business Systems Analysis & Quality Assurance:
- Analyze business systems to optimize and enhance IS capabilities.
- Perform quality assurance, define reporting, and alerting requirements across various business systems.
- Elicit requirements, document system processes, and create SOPs for business system navigation and training.
- Manage IS projects, coordinating internal and external resources for successful deployment.
Project Management:
- Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress for both ERP and broader IS projects.
- Manage people and evaluate team and project requests, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze data to draw business-relevant conclusions and develop customized reporting solutions.
- Build and maintain a standard report repository, and create ad-hoc SQL-based reports as required.
- Develop departmental and executive dashboards to measure business intelligence (BI).
Technical Communication & Training:
- Communicate key insights, findings, and technical solutions to stakeholders.
- Maintain knowledge of software updates and train staff on new features and processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in ERP management and business systems analysis, preferably with Epicor.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, IS processes, and software quality assurance.
- Experience in eliciting requirements, testing, and analyzing data for business insights.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to lead IT operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
- Knowledge of data visualization techniques and tools.
- Degree in MIS, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Ability to travel 5-10%.
