Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command is made up of Civil Engineer Corps officers, civilians and contractors serving as engineers, architects, contract specialists, electricians, plumbers and other professionals. We deliver the best value in facilities engineering and acquisition for the Navy and Marine Corps, Unified Commanders, and Department of Defense agencies. Our NAVFAC Command Information Office (CIO) is looking for IT people who are interested in supporting Information Technology and telecommunications systems and venture out into a civilian career with the U.S. NAVY. As an Information Technology (IT) Specialist you will provide technical support and guidance to other business/support lines or functional areas; this support involves the planning and delivery of customer support services, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training, in response to customer issues and/or requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities for this position include:
- Configuration and troubleshooting of telecommunications equipment including, but not limited to, desk phones, cellular phones, and WiFi devices.
- Configuration and troubleshooting of iOS devices including, but not limited to, iPhones and iPads.
- Management of procurement, tracking, shipping, inventory, and disposal of telecommunications equipment.
- End-user training and support related to telecommunications equipment and iOS devices.
- Basic user account creation and management.
- Development of user communications, instructions and guides, and standard operating procedures.

Additionally, must have proficiency in iOS applications and providing technical support for iPhone and iPad users; and managing telecommunications systems to ensure optimal performance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Driver's License
- Must hold U.S. Citizenship
- Aged 18 or older at time of hire
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
