Structural Engineer – Denver, Colorado
Job Description
Knott Laboratory, LLC is looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team in Denver, Colorado. As a Structural Engineer, you will conduct structural analysis and design various building projects for residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
What you will do:
Perform field investigation of residential, commercial, and industrial structures to determine the cause and origin of construction defects and failures to resolve claims and legal matters.
Assessment and analysis will include documentation of on-site conditions including laser scanning, photography, overseeing destructive testing and interviews.
Write technical reports with inspection results, determination of cause, extent of loss and provide estimates for design solution proposals.
Design structures with wood framing, concrete, steel and masonry and a variety of foundation types and account for wind, snow, and seismic loads in structural design.
Ensure designs meet compliance with building codes and industry standards and stay on top of industry trends and emerging knowledge with ongoing research.
What you will bring:
5+ years Structural Engineering experience.
PE, Professional Engineer in Colorado.
Experience with construction site management, project management and Structural Design.
Resident of Denver Metro area, Colorado.
B.S. degree in Structural Engineering.
Skilled with Revit, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, SharePoint.
Passionate and self-motivated with the ability to work remotely and balance multiple projects.
Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills.
Compensation
Salary: $70,000-$115,000, depending upon experience.
Job Type: Full Time, 7:30am-4:30pm, Monday – Friday.
Work Setting: Flexible. Remote/Home office work up to 60%; Field Inspections/Site Visits up to 40%.
