Title: HVAC Engineer
Location: Indianapolis, IN (travel between downtown sites and Lebanon Sites)
Duration: 6 month Contract-to-Hire - conversion/extensions likely
Schedule: On-site 5 days a week
Pay Rate: $35-$55/h
Required Skills & Experience:
- Understanding of HVAC systems and an interest in programming or designing
- Knows the ins and outs of commercial HVAC systems
- Ability to view and understand a sequence of operation, mechanical and/or electrical drawing or blueprint.
- Ability to travel around to customers locations between downtown Indianapolis and Lebanon, IN
Job Description:
Insight Global is looking for 5 HVAC Engineers to support an HVAC customer in support of their commercial customer with locations in downtown Indianapolis and Lebanon, IN. These employees will spend time between Indianapolis locations and new construction sites in Lebanon, reviewing their HVAC equipment in accordance to a sequence of operation. They will make sure the software is interacting correctly as well and report back to engineers if changes need to be made. Will then commission the job in the end.
Day-to-day:
- Loads system-level controller software.
- Performs basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (i.e. sensors, actuators, etc) and completes all required commissioning documentation.
- Keeps management and client contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
- Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.
- Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
- Documents changes and provides information for as-built documentation.
- Communicates with the client's contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
- Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
