About:
ATG is looking for a highly effective self-motivated Quality Inspector. The position inspects an entire product or a component of a product to maintain quality standards by performing first article inspections, in-process inspections, final inspections and internal audits utilizing a variety of measuring and test equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects materials, fabricated parts, components and assemblies using standard measuring instruments and referring to engineering drawings, documents results, maintains records, and possesses knowledge of GD&T.
- Ability to perform incoming dimensional inspections on all internally and externally supplied parts to engineering prints, specifications or standards
- Performs product, process and quality management system audits, and other Quality Assurance duties, as required.
- Communicates discrepancies to Supervisor or appropriate management representative to ensure all products meet customer specifications.
- Applies standard guidelines, policies, procedures and/or a set of instructions.
- Ability to prepare and regularly submit reports such as FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) and maintain records
- Carry out systematic inspection at each stage of a process, based on written instructions or supervisor’s task
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree preferred
- At least 2 years' of experience (preferred in Manufacturing)
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban and 5S
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and their application to component manufacturing preferred
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and/or AS9101 (latest revision) quality management system standards preferred
- Ability to use a wide variety of measuring instruments and to understand/read 2D drawings
Preferred Education:
- Four-year Bachelors Degree or in process of its completion.
