The IT / Desktop Support position is a full-time temporary position with a duration of 3+ months at approximately 40 hours per week. Main duties will involve supporting customers / end users in-person, providing general technical support for new devices, Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, with some night time work expected.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide basic level IT support to all levels of personnel within the organization.
- Work within a centrally managed healthcare enterprise IT environment including clinical, critical care, research, and departmental spaces.
- Interact with all levels of personnel.
- Work closely with peer technicians and teams promoting collaboration and consistent service delivery.
- Embrace standardization, the adoption of best practices, documentation, customer service excellence and the continual improvement approach to IT.
- Exercise all workflows while maintaining state and institutional policies, contributing to the support of organizational objectives.
Experience Requirements
- Recent experience, ideally 1-2 years, providing customer service and technical support of devices running Windows 7/10 and MS Office 365, as well as mobile applications.
- Professional experience working with desktop hardware and software in a centrally managed workstation environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with a diverse population of technical and non-technical individuals.
- Experience supporting wide array of connected peripheral equipment.
- Experience in a team-based setting where consultation, flexibility, collaboration, and cooperation are essential.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent time management skills and flexibility to balance workload.
- Ability to move and install IT equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Must have strong communication and customer service skills to provide a positive experience to end users.
