Ideal Candidate Profile: Full knowledge of manufacturing or warehouse crane operations, lifting/rigging calculations, crane inspections, and rigging inspections. This consultant will be responsible for helping our client improve their current program, bring it to compliance standards, and implement it to reduce lifting operational incidents (near misses and injuries).
Consultant Scope:
The ideal candidate for this role will have a full knowledge of manufacturing and warehousing crane safety and operations and be comfortable in a heavy industrial environment. Certifications preferred include Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or NCCCO Lift Director. The Crane Safety Program Manager coordinates all aspects of the manufacturing and warehousing facility’s rigging, lifting and crane safety program. This includes:
- Serve as the site's main point of contact for rigging, lifting, and crane operation, maintenance, and inspections.
- Review plant areas for conformance to rigging and lifting requirements.
- Develop and provide assurance program documentation that enables compliant rigging and lifting operations.
- Develop tracking mechanisms for rigging and lifting equipment to assure inspections and maintenance are scheduled and at appropriate intervals.
- Deploy tracking mechanisms to assure inspections and maintenance are completed, and issues are addressed with the appropriate level of urgency.
- Provide technical support to operations in selecting rigging and lifting equipment.
- Develop standards around procurement, acceptance, use, storage, and disposal of rigging and lifting equipment.
- Knowledge of rigging and lifting standards, including ASME B30.
- Ability to effectively apply internal and external requirements and standards to proposed and active work

Duration: 6-9 month contract
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 40hr work week
Mobilization: personal vehicle
