Job Title: JavaScript Developer [Angular]

Our challenge
We are in search of a seasoned JavaScript (Angular) Developer to contribute to a high-profile regulatory project in the investment banking domain. The ideal candidate will possess robust programming skills in Java, with a strong foundation in object-oriented design, and extensive experience in web development using Angular. A background in financial services, particularly dealing with regulatory compliance, is highly desirable.
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing and understanding business and technical stories, writing code, implementing automated tests, contributing to release and iteration planning, and developing the working practices of the team
- Capturing detailed technical requirements based on business requirements
- Supporting the business in resolving high-priority defects and deploying fixes to production systems
- Performing insightful and constructive code reviews to help maintain and teach proper coding techniques, and ensure that your fellow developers are considering all pertinent factors to prevent regression defects or the introduction of problematic code
- Contributing widely to establishing and promoting the best SDLC practices and proactively investigating and proposing new technologies for use within the department
You are:
- Strong programming skills in Java with proficiency in object-oriented design principles
- Strong Experience with web development frameworks (Angular or React)
- Familiarity with Java frameworks such as DropWizard, Spring and Hibernate
- Familiarity with distributed storage systems like DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDB
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines especially using Git
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux experience.
