Focus Capital is looking for a rock star senior software engineer with extensive Python and full stack development experience to join our partner’s startup technology firm. As the innovator in out-of-the-box AI and LLM solutions, the firm privately raised close over $100 Million in funding and is valued at $1B.
Servicing some of the top consumer-facing firms (including Fortune 10 companies), our partner has capitalized on the growing interest in generative AI, large language modeling and automated ML technologies by offering a platform that each company can build on top of and utilize for a variety of use cases. Think of the ability to instantly turn a legacy company's antiquated databases into its own Google to find nuanced insights, can turn every file into a searchable Google Images-like tool, or give that company the ability to automate technology processes at scale with almost no tuning required.
In this role you take ownership of designing and delivering technology platforms that allow the seamless integration of billions of data points including data analytics platforms, data editors, vitalization tools and experimental machine learning platforms.
The firm is technology agnostic but has a preference to those who are strong in Python and 'full stack' technologies like React and Typescript, and able to work in a cloud-heavy, data intensive environment, with a zeal for artificial intelligence and bleeding edge technologies.
You would be joining a rapidly growing and already successful company that operates as a startup despite having numerous Fortune 500 clients. We will only accept candidates who are 100% hands-on and don’t have any issues being tech’d out in the process.
The role is based in San Francisco and requires a total of 3 days onsite per month
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience programming in Python (must be willing to work with new technologies that emerge and are relevant to the stack scalability).
- Prior experience with React is required for a full stack position.
- GraphQL and TypeScript experience is a plus
- Tangible experience working with ETL, relational databases, SQL, NoSQL or MongoDB.
- Desire to work with machine learning tools
- Prior professional experience with cloud environments (i.e. AWS, GCP)
- Familiarity with DevOps technologies and container tools (i.e. Kubernetes, CodeFresh, ArgoCD).
- Messaging services like Kafka or Google's pub/sub offering is a plus
- Experience with Databricks is a plus
- A bachelors or higher in computer science or a related field
- Must have excellent communication skills.
