We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Manager Engineer Level 3 to join our team and provide support for US and International customers. As an Equipment Manager Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, documenting, and maintaining complex electronic and electrical systems for mission systems hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers to understand and define complex electronic and electrical system requirements for mission systems hardware.
- Analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop interface specifications for seamless integration of Mission Systems Hardware.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure that system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with specified requirements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for fielded hardware and software throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in Mission Systems Hardware technology and research potential applications to address company business needs.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mission Systems Hardware, preferably with 737 or related variants of airplanes.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of electronic and electrical systems, hardware, and software design principles.
- Strong technical writing capabilities.
- Proficiency in analyzing and translating complex requirements into practical system designs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide technical support for fielded hardware and software.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with customers and suppliers.
- Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in Mission Systems Hardware technology.
- Knowledge of hardware qualification and aircraft certification.
- Knowledge of MIl-STD-810, DO-160 and other standards that hardware or systems must be qualified to.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Travel:
Up to 15% domestic and international travel could be required to Germany, UK, Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Netherlands, Canada, Australia
