Category Analyst - Need to be located in Phoenix Arizona Hybrid position - in office 2 days and work from home the rest.
Work for a fortune 500 beverage company, this position will work in a team environment with a focus on leading to team in developing insights, identifying opportunities and communicating recommendations to lead future industry growth. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Category Manager in the CPG industry, Beverage experience a plus.
- JDA Space planning, ability to create planograms utilizing JDA.
- Lead future industry growth in team’s assigned areas of responsibilities.
- Develop impactful category analyses and consumer insights using a range of syndicated and non-syndicated data sources.
- Synthesize learnings from various sources to create clear and impactful selling stories in a visually appealing manner using PowerPoint.
- Effectively educate internal teammates and external customers on growth opportunities through clear and impactful communications.
- Partner with Sales team to engage external retailer buying team in defined territories with goal of identifying opportunities to grow the category.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree or higher a must.
- Category Analyst or Space planning experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry
- Solid understanding of shelf space, nice to have JDA experience creating planograms or Apollo
- Solid Excel skills and PowerPoint.
- Strong familiarity with syndicated data, preferred IRI or Nielsen
- Nice to have experience with panel data, preferred Numerator
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
