This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing startup in the aerospace/defense industry. They are developing world-class modular unmanned aerial vehicle systems and this will be an instrumental role within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for innovation and have experience designing and developing a broad array of electronic components and circuits.
Responsibilities:
- Design and prototype cable assembly and wire harness systems, from prototype through mass production
- PCB/A design including collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, test, debug and integration with the system
- Design, support and shape electrical systems and subsystems of new products and components
- Own relationships with relevant suppliers and manage day-to-day communication
- Document new test procedures and report test plan results
- Read and interpret designs/schematics and troubleshoot circuit issues
Requirements and Desired Experience:
- BS in Electrical Engineering or similar; Masters degree preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering; Aerospace industry experience a plus
- Experience with RF systems
- Experience with schematic capture of electrical circuits (Altium preferred)
- Experience with high voltage DC power systems
- Able to read and interpret designs/schematics
- Proficient in using multimeters, power supplies, and multi-channel oscilloscopes
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
- Experience working with suppliers a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc) preferred
- Must be flexible, agile and able to excel in a fast-paced environment
Compensation (DOE): $100k - $130k annual base salary
