Key Responsibilities:
Injection Molding Expertise: Contribute to the design and development of mechanical components using injection molding techniques, ensuring designs are optimized for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and performance.
CAD Design: Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components and systems using advanced CAD software.
Project Management: Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion of all design and development tasks.
Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including R&D, to conceptualize, develop, and test product designs.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve design and manufacturing challenges by applying engineering principles and analytical methods to develop innovative solutions.
Prototyping and Testing: Lead the prototyping and testing processes to validate the performance, functionality, and reliability of new designs, making necessary adjustments based on test outcomes.
Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of all design and development activities, including CAD files, technical drawings, test results, and project reports.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, recommending and implementing process improvements to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design with a specialization in injection molding.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, materials, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Demonstrated success in project management and product development.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- Experience in the prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical components.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in mechanical design and injection molding.
