About the Role: Are you an experienced Structural Engineer looking to make a significant impact on infrastructure? We are seeking a talented and dedicated Structural Engineer to join our client's team for an exciting bridge rehabilitation project in partnership with the NJ/NY Port Authority. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-profile projects that enhance the safety and functionality of critical transportation infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support structural design and analysis for bridge rehabilitation projects.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including contractors and government agencies, to ensure project success.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance during the rehabilitation process.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to project progress and quality control.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in structural engineering with a focus on roadway and bridge construction and rehabilitation projects.
- Certifications:
- ICC Structural Steel Bolting Certification (required)
- AWS/CWI Welding Certification (preferred)
- Professional Engineering License (PE): A plus, but not required.
- Skills: Strong understanding of structural design principles, proficiency in engineering software, and excellent communication and project management skills.
