Job Summary:
As an Entry-Level Technical Director, you will play a crucial role in supporting the technical aspects of our news broadcasts. We will provide comprehensive training to help you develop the skills necessary to manage live broadcasts, recorded segments, and special news coverage. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for news production and a desire to advance in the broadcast industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the technical operations for live and recorded news broadcasts, including switching, audio, graphics, and video playback.
- Work closely with producers and directors to understand and implement broadcast plans.
- Learn to operate broadcast equipment, including switchers, audio boards, servers, and other technical systems.
- Support the troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues during broadcasts.
- Participate in training sessions and on-the-job learning to develop your technical skills.
- Collaborate with technical and production teams to ensure smooth broadcast operations.
- Help maintain broadcast equipment and systems under the guidance of senior staff.
- Follow standard operating procedures and contribute to maintaining a high level of broadcast quality.
- Assist in preparing and setting up live broadcasts and recorded segments.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of video and audio production, either through education, internships, or related experience.
- Strong interest in news production and broadcast technology.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Clear driving record, car insurance, satisfactory pre-employment drug test and background check.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Photoshop, premiere, or After Effects is a plus.
- Experience with live streaming or digital content production is advantageous.
