We are looking for a Systems Architect, who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing sophisticated system architectures that meet our business and technical requirements across multi- region.
What you’ll be doing:
- Architectural Design: Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure system architectures utilizing microservices, integrations, plugins, and cloud solutions.
- Microservices: Develop and manage microservices architectures to ensure modularity, scalability, and efficient resource utilization.
- Integration and Plugins: Manage integrations and plugins solutions to ensure compatibility and optimal performance across different platforms and services.
- Cloud Solutions: Architect cloud solutions that operate efficiently across multiple cloud environments, leveraging the best features of each.
- Server-Client and Cloud Architecture: Design and oversee the implementation of server-client and cloud application architectures that ensure optimal performance, scalability, and user experience.
- Platforms/OSs and Virtualization/Containerization: Utilize various platforms/OSs and manage virtualization and containerization technologies to enhance system efficiency and scalability.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with IaC practices to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Cost Management: Optimize and manage costs associated with system architecture and cloud solutions.
- Development Leadership: Create Proof of Concepts (POCs) that validate architectural decisions and demonstrate potential solutions.
- Complex Systems Management: Apply experience with complex systems, akin to large-scale platforms like Facebook and Instagram, to handle high traffic, data processing, and real-time interactions.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and direction. Ability to create POCs, ensuring best practices and standards are followed and align technical solutions with business goals..
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously improving the architecture and recommending innovative solutions.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of collaborating with all stakeholders.
What we’re looking for:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in systems architecture, or proven track record of designing and implementing complex systems.
- Skills:
- Result driven, works cross-functionally to position and orchestrate a solution consisting of multiple products or large components.
- In-depth understanding of server-client and cloud application architectures.
- Strong expertise in designing cloud solutions and cost management for system architecture.
- Experience building, architecting, designing, documenting and implementing distributed global cloud-based systems.
- Experience with structured Enterprise Architecture practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in developing and managing microservices, integrations, plugins, network infrastructure and security.
- Proficiency with various platforms/OSs and virtualization/containerization technologies.
- Demonstrated thought leadership and ability to drive innovation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong change management skills.
- Experience with OO languages (ie C/C++, Go) , scripting languages (ie. JavaScript, Python), OpenAPI, AWS, Docker, SQL, MongoDB etc.
- Certifications (optional but beneficial):
- Certifications related to software architecture, project management (PMP), specific technologies (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect), or methodologies (Certified ScrumMaster) can enhance a candidate’s profile.
