Rate: 65-75/hr on W2 – Potentially additional flexibility for the right candidate
Length: 6 Month Contract to Hire
Location: Lake Mary, FL
Onsite Requirements: 3 days a week onsite – Tuesday – Thursday
Project Details:
What is the scope of work that is being completed?
- DLP/encryption – data and email
- Looking for DLP background experience ideally with Broadcom/Symantec DLP environment
- Manage a host of 160 servers in the environment – looking for someone to help supporting the environment from engineering perspective (not operations) – MUST have experience building a DLP environment either from scratch OR building additional add ons, etc. Lots of projects coming up in 2025
- Fair amount of experience as a systems engineer – understands interdependencies with email, web proxies, has done some DLP work in past
- How to prop up windows servers accounts, managing vulnerabilities in the environment, etc
- Data they’re working with not necessarily financial data – its web, its email, etc
What part of the project is this resource supporting?
- Third level escalations – they have an ops team that monitors systems health daily
- Get escalations – servers are down, they can’t bring up, etc – anything second level
- Project work – currently working on next version of putting platform out
- Upgrading windows
- Vulnerabilities, talking to vendors
- Getting delivery dates for patches
- Design docs, have a greenfield process that’s client specific – firewalls are part of design, Illumio is product
- Logical platforms
- Some scripting – most are written in either Python or PowerShell
Must Haves:
1. Systems Engineering Background
2. Experience building a DLP environment – preferred Symantec or Broadcom
3. Understanding of basic networking concepts/network activity – to/from – firewalls, proxies etc – don’t need a firewall admin or etc
4. Scripting – familiar but don’t need to programmers, most scripts are written in either Python or PowerShell

Role Description: Platform Engineering is seeking applicants for the role of cyber security engineer to enhance and expand its cyber security portfolio; to ensure that sensitive data is not lost, accessed, or misused by unauthorized individuals. As a member of the TSG Platform Engineering team, the candidate would be responsible for the core engineering of security platforms including and not limited to Broadcom Data Loss Prevention (DLP), secure messaging, data classification, digital right management, Microsoft DLP, and Office Message Encryption (OME).
The candidate will be partnering with Information Security and Risk Management to provide solutions that enforces the firm’s global data security policies to protect petabytes of existing documents within our data repositories.

Key Job Responsibilities: (Most important to least)
• Engineer and integrate chosen information protection solutions with existing or new technological frameworks.
• Develop operational procedures for implemented solutions.
• Deploy, operate, and maintain security solutions.
• Contribute to the creation and execution of project plans for the implementation, maintenance, and upgrade of security solutions.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing escalation support, training and mentoring to all teams supporting our security solutions.
• Provide scheduled and on-demand reporting and metrics for the security solutions implemented.
• Provide after-hour, on-call support for client-facing / end-user helpdesks and other IT support team's incident escalations
• Provide third level support for production solutions within the Information Protection group.
• Responsible for maintaining service level agreements (SLAs).
• Participate and collaborate on Change Control calls that involve changes within the cyber security environment.
• Ensure that the operations team keeps all operational procedure guides and solution diagrams current and accurate.
Required Qualifications: (Most important to least)
• 4 – 6 years of system administration experience in a Windows or *nix environment.
• 3 – 5 years of Symantec (Broadcom) DLP experience, including the installation, upgrade and operational support of the DLP platform.
• A minimum of 3 years engineering, implementing, and supporting information protection solutions.
• A thorough understanding of network concepts such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, Switching, SMTP, ICAP, Proxies, Firewalls, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex problems in a large, global network environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with people who have varying degrees of technical expertise.
• Expertise and experience in at least one security domain
• "L3" engineering support for DLP operations issues
• Hands-on security operations experience
• Ability to participate in night and weekend coverage in support of operations
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
