About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Firmware Developer to join our client's agile team. This role is crucial to meet the increased demand for the next 12-18 months. You will be part of a small, dynamic team of five firmware developers and testers, working on lifesaving medical devices that stimulate nerves for pain management and other health benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform extensive unit testing to ensure the reliability and performance of firmware.
- Engage in various aspects of embedded development, including protocol stacks and internal bus communications.
- Develop and maintain firmware for Bluetooth communication modules.
- Collaborate with team members in a hybrid work environment, with occasional on-site work to handle hardware.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in embedded engineering systems, with a sweet spot of 5-10 years.
- Strong expertise in data communications and embedded systems.
- Proficiency in coding in C.
- Located in Minneapolis, MN, with the ability to work on-site as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Bluetooth protocol stacks.
- Familiarity with regulated industry environments and formal documentation processes.
