Growing Family-Owned Plastics company located in the northern suburbs of Chicago is seeking an Engineering and Maintenance Manager.
Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for planning, creating and coordinating all maintenance operations across both shifts. This position will be responsible for CAPEX projects to improve plant operations and assist in plant growth. This position will provide expertise in the repair of electronic and mechanical components in all machinery
Key duties:
- Create SOPs to ensure all preventative maintenance is completed on equipment
- Maintain safety standards at all times including LOTO and 5S
- Maintain inventory on spare parts and replenish when necessary
- Document maintenance on facility and assets in CMMS
- Create plans for maintenance, production team and external contractors for work on equipment and facilities
- Troubleshoot electrical schematics, wire diagrams and ladder logic as necessary
- Recommend product changes, technology and production layout changes utilizing AutoCAD
- Oversee repairs of equipment
Skills and Experience necessary:
- 5+ years in hands on leadership of maintenance in a manufacturing plant environment
- CAPEX project management experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing AutoCAD
- Electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing environment (10-600V, Wire Diagrams, Electrical Schematics and Ladder Logic)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is a plus
- Plastics experience is a plus
