VP of Data Cloud Platform (Azure)
Overview:
As the Vice President of Data Cloud Platform, your mission is to orchestrate the organization's data strategy within the Azure cloud ecosystem. Transforming raw data into insights, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a clear vision for the data platform within Azure.
- Advocate for Azure-native solutions, leveraging services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics
- Oversee end-to-end data processes, from ingestion to transformation. Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders
- Architect and build a robust, cost-effective, and future-proof data platform. Consider Azure PaaS offerings, serverless components, and hybrid scenarios.
- Balance performance optimization with prudent cost management.
- Inspire confidence in Azure adoption. Educate stakeholders on Azure's capabilities, security features, and compliance standards.
- Host Azure workshops, webinars, and executive briefings.
- Lead a talented team of data professionals. Nurture their growth and align their skills with Azure best practices.
- Foster a collaborative culture where innovation thrives.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in computer science, data engineering, or related fields.
- Extensive experience with Azure services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Functions.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, ARM templates, and Azure DevOps.
- Track record of leading cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value. Align data initiatives with organizational goals.
- Familiarity with Azure security features, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
