Allied is looking for a Substation Engineer with an award-winning company located in Pennsylvania. A day in the life:
- Oversee and manage design and engineering services deliverables on utility capital projects.
- Monitor upgrading replacement of breakers, CT\VTs, arrestors, switchgears, cap-banks, transformers, insulators and switches.
- Administer engineering contracts, coordinate interfaces, and maintain detailed project schedules.
- Promote design standardization, verify the utilization of correct standards, and ensure compliance with NERC requirements.
- Establish procedures and coordinate the submission, review, and approval of design and engineering documents.
- Monitor contractor performance, assess constructability and maintainability, and address issues throughout the project phases, reporting progress and issues regularly.
Wish list:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in engineering & design of physical layout of electrical substations
- Physical or P&C Design experience will also be considered
- Great communication skills, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
