Our retail partner is looking for a DevOps Engineer to streamline their infrastructure and improve the efficiency of their software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will implement automation solutions, manage cloud environments, and ensure continuous integration and deployment practices are optimized. They will also collaborate closely with development and operations teams to enhance overall system reliability and scalability.
Job Description:
- The DevOps Engineer is responsible for ensuring operations for infrastructure and application solutions are reliable and sustainable by incorporating automation towards installation and configuration of entire technology stack.
- The engineer will be responsible for all aspects of environment planning including capacity management, monitoring, scalability, auditing, disaster recovery, and interoperability and infrastructure as code.
- Cloud experience (Azure) is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and successfully implement overall infrastructure leveraging infrastructure as code designed to meet SLA (performance and up-time), DR, and scalability needs required by the solution.
- Responsible for helping to define all DevOps practices and processes to enable a reliable, repeatable, and high-quality release process, to include:
- Configuration management (CM)
- Continuous Integration (CI)
- Continuous Delivery (CD)
- Continuous Testing
- Continuous Logging, Monitoring, Alerting & Feedback
- Continuous Improvement
- Ensure that post-production operational processes / deliverables are well designed and implemented prior to the project moving into the solution support phase.
- Define and create operational procedures, processes, and scripts.
- Follow appropriate change/release management practices.
- Support and maintain infrastructure solutions utilizing required tools and technologies.
- Configure and monitor cloud infrastructure and services as it pertains to the application’s hardware and business processes.
- Facilitate collaboration between development and operations teams throughout the application lifecycle.
- Partner with Corporate Information Security to ensure all security policies and audit inquiries are addressed.
- Working with application teams and developers with complex business solutions.
- Agile team environment that is self-directed and independent working.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to determine root cause and corrective action.
