SUMMARY: Responsible for implementing the company quality system and policy in support of internal and external customer requirements. Data is developed and accurate company records are maintained by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
· Participate in maintaining a Compliant Quality System.
· Prepare customer requested Material and Part Certifications when required.
· Collect and analyze data using statistical techniques for initial process studies.
· Initiate correspondence on general part concerns with internal departments and external customers.
· Conduct inspection and evaluation, including reports, of product resulting from customer complaints or internal concerns/rejections.
· Generate and maintain Discrepant Material (DMR) and Corrective Action reports on internally and externally rejected production and purchased parts.
· Expedite quality responsibilities for Mold Experimental Orders (MEO) and Mold Action Requests (MAR).
· Perform supplier quality functions such as on‑site audits, supplier performance appraisals, receiving inspection etc.
· Use of computer to generate and update forms, correspondences and spreadsheets for the purpose of maintaining various quality records and reports (APQP, FMEA, and Risk Assessments).
· Support PPAP/MCAP & Calibration system.
· Work with sales & engineering to confirm part drawings are accurate.
· Perform layered audits.
· Thorough understanding of Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and GAGE R&R
· Thorough understanding of Verification and Validation processes
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four‑year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-5 years of PPAP experience
