Job Position: Industrial Engineer
Target Pay Range: $75,000 - $100,000/year, depending on level of relevant experience and qualifications

We are looking for a talented Industrial Engineer to ensure our company’s manufacturing and warehouse processes operations are defined, efficient, and cost effective. You will facilitate process improvement projects, infrastructure projects, and be the primary contact for identifying pain points and opportunities in the warehouse facilities. This includes development and enforcement of SOPs, training of personnel on new best practices, data collection and analysis, and mapping exercises. You will also be responsible for reporting on metrics such as labor productivity and warehouse utilization, providing valuable and actionable feedback to the functional process owners. To succeed in this role, you should be a self-starter with excellent time management, communication and visualization skills. You should have in-depth knowledge of warehouse/logistics operations, performing statistical analysis, and applying Lean Six Sigma concepts. This role will be a crucial contributor to the project management team, with high visibility into the entire business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support development of lean warehouse processes utilizing DMAIC and DMADV tools.
• Effectively communicate and present learned material to multiple business units via SOPS, team meetings and through our Learning Management System (LMS).
• Follow through on processes implemented with periodic check-ins and performance reviews.
• Take detailed measurements, create layout plans, and make recommendations for warehouse infrastructure projects.
• Work with vendors as the primary point of contact for warehouse projects such as visual management improvements and racking installation/optimization.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse and production processes through definition and analysis of parameters like product scanning accuracy, inventory location integrity etc.
• Utilize different lean tools and correlation analysis through linear regression, pareto analysis to enable your data to paint a clear picture.
• Assist in collection and statistical analysis of process data for use of baseline run charts and baseline distribution to establish a reference point for improvement efforts.
• Responsible for data management, determining performance standards, and using it to drive recommendations such as scheduling adjustments or identifying problematic scanning practices.
• Develop process mapping exercises to identify pain points and opportunities in specific areas throughout the warehouse.
• Accompany and interview production and warehouse supervisors to help identify systemic issues in productivity and product traceability.
• Provide support to the project manager in operations, cost savings analysis, and planning aspects.
• Analyze process flow of raw/manufactured goods to and from storage to identify wasteful movements.
• Aligns industry best practices with company methodologies and tools to design effective warehouse, inventory, and production operations.
• Perform needs assessments for new initiatives, collecting input from all involved stakeholders to ensure understanding of proposed changes and possible impacts.
• Conduct root cause analysis/5 Whys to deep dive on newly discovered or systemic inefficiencies.
• Establishes labor standards for warehouse using techniques like MOST and MTM.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or Supply Chain Management.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or Warehouse/Logistics with an emphasis on food products and consumer package goods.
• Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.
• Prior experience designing warehouse or manufacturing processes required.
• Prior experience with labor productivity or scheduling optimization preferred.
• Lean six sigma training and experience required, Green Belt certified preferred.
• Flexible and adaptable independent worker.
• Strong time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
•Able to manage and meet multiple strict project deadlines.
• Proficient in MS office with proficient to advanced Excel skills.
• Experienced in process mapping and value stream mapping.
• Strong ability to apply mathematical analysis to attribute cost savings through reduction of waste.
• Strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple priorities with competing demands.
• AutoCAD experience preferred.
