Pacific International has been exclusively retained by a global leader in plastics and sustainable packaging. The organization is growing significantly and maintaining their market success by constantly challenging the status quo and launching new, innovative products.
The group are investing heavily into Maintenance and Reliability to drive performance improvement in reliability, efficiency and overall productivity at all sites. They are looking for a Maintenance Manager to lead an area at one of their largest site globally (3000+ FTE and 1 million square feet) and there is a high level of visibility as well as career progression opportunities.
This particular plant has seen huge investment both in capital and stakeholder attention where they are looking to be the model plant in Maintenance and provide an example of the 'one best way' that is to be driven plant to plant globally. Therefore, a strong Maintenance Manager is required to implement this cultural aspect, mentor others to reach this high standard and be hands on in driving by example.
Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership to team which includes following Performance Management System, setting expectations that align to area’s business objectives and providing routine feedback on performance.
- Manages the PDCA process from cradle to grave to include problem statement, root cause analysis, and counter measure implementation.
- Directs the METs, TMLs and TMS and provide expertise (training, standards, SPLs)
- Own and update KPIs related to their MPG and drive behavior to improve performance. Ownership for standard documentation (PLC program, Drive program, HMI, equipment drawing, FMEA’s)
- Responsible for maintenance financials, maintenance safety and workplace organization (WPO).
- Support SQF certification.
- Encourage utilities cost reduction in the area (shutting off machine when not in use, turning of lamps, etc.)
- Provides reliability support, technology expertise and best practices for design reviews, construction, operability, maintainability and standards.
Other requirements:
- Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering degree from ABET accredited college.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Proficient in Process and Instrumentation diagrams, electrical schematics, mechanical layout and design.
- Computer aptitude, to include proficiency in MS Office, to include Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Visio, and Project Management.
- Autocad and SAP PM knowledge preferred.
