Summary:
Translarity seeks an SI/PI Engineer to assist in Probe, PCB and total system simulations and design support for high performance, high frequency semiconductor probe card designs.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and model PCBs and MLOs for probe card applications.
- Engage in the engineering review process, including schematic review, functional specification, PCB placement review, and PCB routing review.
- Conduct power integrity analysis (AC and DC) and provide feedback to layout/hardware engineering teams.
- Perform cross-talk analysis and offer insights to layout and hardware engineering.
- Document signal integrity rules for hardware engineers and PCB layout.
- Perform HFSS simulations for individual probes, probe arrays and other 3D structures
- Engage with the probe design process to optimize probes for high speed performance
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in PCB design fundamentals.
- Expertise in signal loss, impedance control, and crosstalk (near end and far end).
- Familiar with single-ended and differential signaling up to 60Gbps.
- Experience working with component models and cascading models for system simulations.
- Proficient in using simulation tools like Sigrity, Ansys HFSS, SIwave Electronics Desktop, HSPICE, SiSoft QSI/QCD, and ADS.
- Skilled in electrical length calculations for signal matching.
- Ability to interpret signals in both frequency (S-parameter) and time domains.
- Solid understanding of electromagnetic and transmission line theory, general I/O design, signal integrity, and interface technologies.
- Clear understanding of power distribution network design and optimization techniques.
- Self-motivated with strong project leadership and ownership abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a diverse team environment.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with at least 5 years of Signal Integrity experience
