Job Description
Ulbrich Specialty Wire Products, located in Westminster, SC, is a part of the Ulbrich Wire Group which custom engineers precision wire products including: Fine Wire, Round Wire, Flat Wire, Plated Wire, Shaped Wire Profiles and PV Ribbon products. The Ulbrich Wire Group of companies are divisions of Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Special Metals, Inc. Our wire facilities have over 40 years of experience producing thousands of unique shapes and sizes for many markets. The Ulbrich Wire Group works together to bring a wide range of capabilities and leadership to the industry all across the globe.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain the Ulbrich Quality Management System;
- Generate, maintain, and submit documents associated with various customer required packages (PPAP, PFO, FMEA, SPC, and gauge R&R documents);
- Manage documentation preparation for customer on-site source inspections;
- Assist the Quality Manager with the implementation and maintenance of an ISO-9001 or AS-9100 approved quality management system;
- Function as primary point of contact relative to customer complaints pertaining to documentation and compliance to specification;
- Act as the Lead Auditor for internal and supplier audits;
- Implementation of continual improvement (A3) and corrective action (8D) requirements.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, or a technical field is preferred;
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience in quality management, quality engineering, or six sigma application; and
- Effective communication skills – verbal, written, presentation; and intermediate skills with MS Office.
Additional Qualifications:
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Quality Engineer preferred;
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO-9001 environment;
- Strong knowledge of lean principles and root cause analysis;
- Statistical data analysis and problem solving ability;
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and manufacturing requirements;
- Team building ability through all levels and areas of the organization; and
- General understanding of performance management requirements (KPIs).
