My client in Grand Rapids is searching for a Lead low voltage technician.
Duties:
- Install low voltage systems including Copper Ethernet, Wifi, Fiber, CCTV, Access Control, telecommunication networks, and computer networking equipment
- Perform system design and blueprint reading to ensure accurate installation
- Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot and repair low voltage systems
- Test and inspect installed systems to ensure they meet industry standards and client requirements
- Provide technical support to customers regarding system operation and maintenance
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of low voltage systems including fire alarms, security systems, telecommunication networks, and computer networking
- Proficient in blueprint reading and system design
- Familiarity with IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Overnights in Michigan required, with minimal, but potential out of state travel.
