We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage complex projects and project teams. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of a project, from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Location: Hybrid: MUST BE LOCAL TO Oakbrook Terrace, IL
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40-50 hrs/week; core hours 9am - 3pm; hybrid schedule assumes Mon-Wed in office unless in the field on jobsites or walkdowns.
Pay rate: Up to 95 dls per hour
Requirements:
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- PMP certification required for all Project Management roles.
- Experience managing medium voltage (12kV - 69KV) utility projects preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
- Proficient in reading electrical prints.
- Understanding of Sarbanes Oxley accounting principles.
- Real estate easement, zoning, and permitting experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Lead and manage project teams, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing guidance and support.
- Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
- Communicate with stakeholders and senior management to provide updates on project status and address any issues or concerns.
- Manage project risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders and external partners.
- Lead project meetings and facilitate discussions to drive project progress.
- Manage project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.
- Support the development and implementation of project management best practices and processes.
Comments:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for Distributed Energy Resources (DER) Interconnection projects. You will coordinate with customers to interconnect new customer-owned DERs, executing schedules in accordance with established Interconnection Agreements (IA). Your responsibilities will include procurement, resource coordination, design, electrical system outage coordination, construction, interconnection and commissioning, financial reporting and tracking in accordance with principles, and all stakeholder communications required to successfully interconnect customers.
