Primary Responsibilities:
Project Support: Assist in managing and executing civil engineering projects in the mining and industrial sector. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors to ensure high project standards.
Client Interaction: Support client relationship development by understanding their needs and contributing to service alignment. Collaborate with senior professionals to enhance client satisfaction.
Business Development: Work with experienced team members to identify new opportunities and contribute to strategic growth initiatives. Participate in industry conferences and committees to help increase company visibility.
Additional Responsibilities:
·Perform civil engineering tasks for mining projects, including stormwater management, hydrology, site layout, and environmental remediation.
·Assist in project design, prepare engineering reports and specifications, ensuring technical accuracy and clarity.
·Support the supervision, mentoring, and training of junior engineers, contributing to their professional development within the organization.
·Participate in business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
·Occasionally travel for field work, approximately 10% of the time, both locally and nationally.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
·Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred. Willingness to obtain Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
·3-5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in the mining sector.
·Basic technical knowledge of civil engineering aspects related to mining, including regulatory compliance and environmental practices.
·Strong collaborative skills with a focus on teamwork and client satisfaction.
·Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrologic modeling tools is a plus.
·Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with an aptitude for technical writing.
·Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment and manage multiple priorities.
