AWS DevOps Engineer | About You
As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support seamless development and deployment processes. Your role involves leveraging AWS services, GitHub Actions, and AWS CDK to automate and manage infrastructure, while collaborating with development teams to ensure code quality and operational efficiency. You will also focus on optimizing data processing workflows using tools like PySpark and AWS Glue API. A key part of your responsibilities includes ensuring the security, compliance, and documentation of all systems, while continuously seeking opportunities to enhance infrastructure and adopt new technologies.
AWS DevOps Engineer | Day-to-Day
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK and other AWS tools.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using Python and AWS services.
- Collaborate with development teams to review code changes, SQL/PLSQL scripts, and integrate them into the deployment pipeline.
- Develop and maintain data processing workflows using PySpark and/or AWS Glue API to optimize data operations.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to maintain high availability and reliability.
AWS DevOps Engineer | Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or cloud engineering role, with a focus on AWS services and infrastructure management.
- Strong experience in AWS development and management, including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, and RDS.
- Proficient in using GitHub Actions, AWS CDK, and other DevOps tools for CI/CD and automation.
- Proven experience in Python development, particularly for automation and scripting within AWS environments.
- Strong ability to read, understand, and work with SQL/PLSQL code.
- Experience with data processing tools and frameworks, including PySpark and AWS Glue API.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and a proactive, open-minded approach to problem-solving and exploring new technologies.
- Experience mentoring and managing offshore and onshore teams, with strong collaboration and communication skills across global teams.
