Leading a team of department managers / leads, project managers, technical engineers, technicians, and support staff within the Charleston office, this position will report to the Regional Executive and be fully supported with established technical resources.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Vision/Strategic Planning for Growth: They contribute to the company’s overall strategy by aligning office/branch goals with the organization’s mission. This requires a big-picture perspective.
- Work with the Regional Executive to conduct market analysis that will frame the strategy to diversify the existing office/branch services to new clients and end markets.
- Champion the client management program for the office/branch
- Ensure the rigor and effectiveness of data used in the development of the pipeline and capture planning through CRM.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Facilitate Communication: Office executives bridge gaps between different market sectors/teams by ensuring effective communication. They organize regular meetings, workshops, and brainstorming sessions to encourage collaboration.
- Promote Knowledge Sharing: They create platforms for sharing best practices, lessons learned, and innovative ideas. This helps break down silos and encourages a culture of continuous learning.
- Employee Culture Enhancement/Employee Engagement: Office executives focus on employee well-being, job satisfaction, and engagement. They organize team-building activities, recognition programs, and social events.
- Performance Management: They work closely with HR & BU Presidents to ensure fair performance evaluations, career development, and growth opportunities for employees. Assist in recruiting staff within the office/branch.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Office executives promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the company. They create an environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
- When implementing new processes or technologies, office executives guide employees through the transition, addressing any resistance.
- Culture Champion: They embody the company’s values and set an example for others. Their leadership influences the overall organizational culture.
- Monitor/Reinforce: Safety Program, PMP, Quality Program, Utilization, Project Multiplier, New Revenue, AR/DSO
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or equivalent
- PE licensure in SC (or ability to obtain PE within 3 months of hire), RLA/PLA, or AICP.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills to effectively and professionally interact with team members, clients, governmental review authorities, government officials, and the public.
- Demonstrated expertise adjusting to priorities and demands from multiple clients and projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Firm understanding of risk management and loss prevention.
- Superior organizational and planning skills with keen attention to detail
