Requirements:
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated Access and CPE device field issues.
- Perform assessments on existing technologies to identify performance and capacity gaps.
- Establish security, connectivity, and access parameters for network infrastructure.
- Provide recommendations to optimize network infrastructure.
- Test and fine-tune security devices and systems.
- Program routers and switches.
- Implement communications technologies (data or voice).
- Manage network services from the planning phase through implementation.
- Solid knowledge of routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies, and network infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in network infrastructure and security.
- Advanced knowledge of DOCSIS and EPON standards.
- Working knowledge of CMTS platforms, including:
- Casa C100G
- Arris E6000
- Cisco cBR8
- Experience with RPHY, Harmonic vCMTS, RPDs, and Vecima RPDs.
- Working knowledge of EPON platforms, including:
- ADTRAN 95XX and SDX-6210
- Vecima (Nokia) 7360 and Distributed Access Architecture SF-4x, SC-2D3
- Working knowledge of switch platforms, including:
- Cisco NCS/ASR
- Juniper PTX/QFX/ACX
- Proficiency in routing protocols, including:
- OSPF
- ISIS
- BGP
- v4/v6 Multicast
- Ability to write technical documentation.
- Ability to create and follow detailed technical test plans.
- Background in troubleshooting CPE and ONU is highly desirable.
- Creative network troubleshooting skills.
