Day to day:
One of Insight Global's manufacturing clients is looking for a tool manager. This person will oversee the tools, equipment, and consumables process documenting /tracking inventory in SharePoint. They will be directly responsible for a team of 10 people within the tool crib department: managing, hiring, and doing performance reviews for hourly employees. The tool manager will need to make quick systematic decisions and hold all communication with internal and external vendors. The ideal candidate will have previously worked with managing inventory and finance-related data.
Must Haves:
5+ years of experience with tools, equipment, or consumables
Ex: pneumatic tools air tools electrical tools
3+ years of management experience
3+ years working in an inventory and finance background
Previous experience negotiating
Knowledge of tool & consumable safety
Experience with Sharepoint
