Job Summary:
Lead and coordinate multiple projects through all phases to successful completion (mainly multifamily housing and senior living architectural projects). Manage client budgets, schedules, documentation, and project teams.
This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity, that pays $85-130K + profit sharing & year-end bonus. This is a hybrid role (based in Phoenix) that requires some travel to customer projects as well.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and prepare project budgets, schedules, proposals, and contracts.
- Coordinate with clients, authorities, consultants, and contractors for effective communication.
- Collaborate with the Principal to manage workloads and staff utilization.
- Prioritize projects and manage resources to meet milestones and profitability.
- Ensure regular project billing.
- Mentor and coach team members, providing skill development and task prioritization.
- Assess and support staff growth, encourage licensure, and hold team accountable for deadlines.
- Provide constructive feedback and maintain professional dialogue.
- Communicate project information to clients and team members through meetings and updates.
- Act as the primary client liaison, ensuring satisfaction with project scope, budget, and timeline.
- Keep clients informed of progress and changes, and coordinate critical issues.
- Solve complex design and construction problems, ensuring code compliance and project goals.
- Understand and integrate structural and civil engineering impacts on design.
- Ensure construction detailing is feasible, compliant, affordable, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Direct consulting teams and coordinate trades through project phases.
- Schedule quality control reviews and coordinate documentation.
- Collaborate with leadership to pursue new projects and expand existing ones.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required in Architecture; a Master's degree is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of project management experience within the architectural industry; 5+ years highly desired.
- Licensure: Active board licensure is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Must be proficient in Revit; proficiency in Bluebeam is advantageous.
- Strong client-facing skills, including conceptual presentations, ongoing dialogue, and effective problem-solving during projects.
