TITLE: Interim HIM Manager
LOCATION: CA (Onsite Travel)
TRAVEL: 100% Onsite travel, expenses paid
START DATE: Immediately
TYPE: Contract, 6 months with chance of extension or conversion to FTE
REPORTS TO: HIM Director
JOB SUMMARY:
The HIM Manager oversees compliance with key HIM indicators, enforcing policies and procedures for timely and accurate operations. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, they develop and implement standards for data content, mapping, and documentation. The role involves investigating data issues, monitoring reports, and contributing to the design and implementation of Electronic Health Records (EHR). Leading the abstraction and retrieval of medical data, the Manager fosters a respectful work environment and provides feedback for team development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate daily responsibilities with the HIM team
- Develop and oversee policies and procedures
- Evaluate processes, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
- Demonstrate a consistent standard of excellence
- Focus on continuous improvement for quality service
- Provide Human Resource guidance
- Manage department budget
- Direct and lead the patient access team
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
