Software Engineer for Advanced Trading Applications
We have partnered with an award winning company that is looking for a Software Engineer (Performance) to grow their team to support their internal projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow with a booming company that plans on continuing their growth and looking for individuals that want to grow with them.
What You’ll Be Involved With:
Initial Training Period (3-6 months):
- Collaboration: Work closely with our performance team to integrate tools, automation, and processes into the SDLC.
- System Understanding: Gain a comprehensive understanding of our entire trading system.
- Issue Resolution: Assist in reproducing, investigating, and debugging performance issues with other development teams.
- Front-End Focus: Initially concentrate on front-end performance while working on the entire platform.
- Development Process: Learn our development process and begin bug fixing and feature development for automation tasks.
- Network Troubleshooting: Familiarize yourself with networking protocols and troubleshoot related issues.
Post-Training Responsibilities:
- Root Cause Analysis: Continue to deepen your understanding of the trading system for quicker root cause analysis.
- Production Support: Handle production performance-related tickets and determine resolution steps.
- Feature Development: Develop new features and functionalities for the performance automation suite.
- Design & Review: Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
- Network Protocols: Gain deeper knowledge of UDP, TCP, and LBM network protocols.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 3-5 years of development experience with Python.
- Comfort in a Linux environment.
- Experience with Selenium or equivalent toolsets.
- Experience with Chrome performance API is a plus.
- Familiarity with Javascript and C++ is a plus.
- Knowledge of packet analysis tools like Wireshark and understanding of TCP and UDP protocols is a plus.
