Browning Contractors Inc. is a leading underground construction company for the Central Valley. The project manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing construction projects. This role involves coordinating various stakeholders, managing resources, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, and overseeing the successful completion of projects while maintaining quality standards and safety.

Essential functions
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Collaborate with clients and other stakeholders to understand project goals and expectations.
- Coordinate equipment moves, setting up deliveries, and field orders.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring clear communication of project goals and expectations.
- Assist in developing field operations.
- Review cost estimates and work closely with estimators and financial teams to control project costs.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures.
- Monitor progress against the project schedule and adjust as necessary.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and changes to all relevant parties, to ensure all aims of project and quality standards are met.
- Regularly assess project risks and implement measures to minimize their impact.
- Obtain required permits and license from municipality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field, preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, underground construction is a plus.
- Solid understanding of construction procedures, building codes, and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Experience with HCSS Program
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time; reach for tools and objects with hands and arms; climb stairs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk to and hear customers. The employee must occasionally lift to 25 pounds. The employee must be able to see up close and at a distance, as well as use peripheral vision and depth perception, and be able to look at, read, and use a computer, electronic devices, and phones for long periods of time.
