We are seeking to hire a Mid to Senior Level Civil/Environmental Engineer, with a specialization in Stormwater out of their Irvine, California office. Candidates must possess at least 5 years of relevant engineering design experience, as well as an understanding of water regulations and related permit requirements. This individual will lead hydrologic and hydraulic evaluations to analyze runoff, evaluate stormwater data, conduct on-site assessments, and develop best management practices in order to reduce pollutants. In addition to providing crucial permitting support and preparing reports/proposals, the Mid to Senior Level Civil/Environmental Engineer (Stormwater) will design treatment facilities, pump stations, and conveyance infrastructure.
- Requirements / Must haves:Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering; Master's degree is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Engineering design experience, demonstrated critical thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of stormwater/wastewater regulations and related permit requirements
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite)
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel domestically
- Flexibility to work outside normal office hours, if needed
- Job Duties:Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic evaluations for stormwater runoff
- Design stormwater treatment facilities, pump stations, and conveyance infrastructure
- Conduct engineering feasibility analyses
- Participate in research and development of innovative stormwater quality treatment techniques
- Evaluate stormwater quality data, conduct industrial and construction site assessments, and develop/recommend stormwater best management practices to reduce pollutants in stormwater discharges
- Prepare plans, technical reports, and proposals
- Provide permitting and compliance support to clients
- Contribute to a team atmosphere through collaboration with technical experts, project managers, colleagues, and subcontractors
