KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for an Infrastructure Admin / Engineer: Cisco route/switch, Palo Alto, network load balancing (F5), VMware ESX, Windows Server, storage, etc.
Our Client is looking to bring on a "Jack of All Trade", Full Time IT Infrastructure Engineer.
What You will be Doing
- Utilizing best practices for IT Infrastructure architecture development, design, implementation, administration, and support
- Working and interacting with internal and external IT Infrastructure support teams in both remote work and close-knit office working conditions
- Effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical users
- Delivering Infrastructure related updates, changes and modifications independently using functional/technical specifications and the IT Change Management process
- Employing strong knowledge of Infrastructure management, administration, and support
- Identifying, collecting, processing, and organizing substantial amounts of information and data, which may be limited or incomplete
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving
- Prioritizing work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Day to day endpoint management and user troubleshooting of IT-related software and hardware issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent related IT Infrastructure experience
- Training and certifications will be considered
- Demonstrated 8+ years of progressive experience as an infrastructure/network/server/desktop administrator
- A fundamental knowledge and ability to understand technology, information systems, data, and business processes
- Knowledge of, and ability to work in an Agile/Kanban project management environment
- Strong quantitative ability and aptitude for quantitative learning
- Strong analytical and business writing skills
- Excellent at troubleshooting and problem solving
- Ability to present findings and technical proposals to internal and external customers
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office suite applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work after normal business hours and on weekends as needed
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
Technical Requirements:
- Role is:
- 60-70% networking (Cisco, load balancing, firewalls, etc.)
- 10-20% systems (Windows Server and VMware eSX for virtualization)
- 10-20% support and other projects (this includes helpdesk / desktop tickets)
- Advanced experience with the administration and support of:
- VMware virtualization to include ESXi (versions 6/7/8) and vSphere/vCenter
- Microsoft Server 2012/2016/2019/2022
- Windows 10/11 desktops, laptops and tablets to include provisioning using Microsoft Intune MDM
- The full Microsoft Office 365 suite of products to include Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint
- Hybrid Active Directory environment (both on-prem and cloud-based Azure AD) to include DNS/DHCP/WSUS
- Cisco 9300 Core and Catalyst 1000 Switches or comparable Cisco routers/switches
- Experience with the administration and support of:
- Dell PowerEdge Blade Servers or comparable blade servers
- Networking Layers 1-4 to include advanced routing and switching protocols (RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, OSPF, EGP, BGP, and IS-IS)
- Physical and virtual Palo Alto Networks firewalls
- Global Protect VPN or comparable VPN.
- F5 BIG-IP Load Balancers or comparable networking-based load balancers
- Ubiquiti UniFi Wireless Access Points
- Synology SANs or comparable storage
- Veeam Backup and Recovery software
- Wasabi Cloud Storage is a plus, comparable solutions helpful
- The successful candidate:

Compensation depends on experience but is typically $100-125K.
