We are working with a leading solar electric propulsion systems and space exploration satellites client. Due to significant growth, they are seeking an Electrical, Electronic, and Electro-mechanical (EEE) Component Engineer to support customer contract compliance and review. The successful candidate will possess expertise in Electronic Space Hardware.
This role will work closely with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering teams to review customer contractual documentation and ensure compliance with parts, materials, and processes.
What you will be doing:
- Review customer contract requirements to determine current or potential compliance.
- Participate in EEE reviews related to the manufacturing and testing of hardware. Support the evaluation of technical data and address production issues.
- Understand EEE parts and their characteristics, including material composition, required specifications/standards, and functions, to assess compliance with customer requirements.
- Review contracts for prohibited materials and identify special processes, tests, or requirements needed to meet customer demands.
- Support Design Engineering with product development and assist in part procurement, including selection, qualification, required testing, and FMEA of EEE parts and processes.
- Collaborate with customer and internal engineering teams to assist with deliverable process documentation. Technical writing skills are required for this position.
- Involve in pre and post-contract agreement phases, reviewing contracts with the management team to identify potential resource risks before agreement, and creating process requirement documentation once the contract is awarded.
- Support SQE and Quality Manager with customer flow-down requirements to suppliers and vendors.

- 5-10 years of PMP experience (negotiable based on prior experience).
- Experience with contractual documentation.
- Experience with EEE parts and procurement.
- Experience with aerospace material and part specifications and processes, focusing on electronics.
- Experience with technical writing.
- Experience reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications and providing guidance to design, thermal, and manufacturing engineers.
- EEE parts testing, failure analysis, and non-conformance resolution.
- Knowledge of radiation harness requirements.
- Experience with non-conformance and failure analysis disposition.
- Proficiency in Worst Case Analysis and Part Stress Analysis.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
