An entertainment organization in New York City is looking to add a new Senior Oracle EPM Essbase Analyst Developer to their growing team in Manhattan.
***This is a Hybrid, contract-to-hire opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite 2-4 days a week.***
Responsibilities:
The Senior Oracle Essbase and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Analyst Developer is a key member of the Corporate Systems team with a focus on supporting the financial decision-making needs of worldwide users. This role centers around the use of Oracle Essbase and Oracle EPM. The role will include:
- Day to day support work as well as a range of interesting and diverse, business critical projects
- Regular interaction with business users
- Partnering with end users to modify / develop new Essbase cubes / EPM planning functions
- Investigating and resolving Essbase / EPM issues
- Completing appropriate project documentation
- Carrying out on / off boarding of users
- Assisting with periodic loading of data
- Developing additional reporting in other tools such as PowerBI
- Implementing major and minor system updates, some outside of office hours
- Suggesting and implementing ideas to automate repetitive tasks
- Answering periodic audit queries
- Helping with disaster recovery testing
- Providing advice and training to power users and other internal staff
- Adhering to change control process and operational model
- Logging of service requests with Oracle
- Participating in projects to move to new future planning platforms and systems
- Partnering with US domestic international business units including Finance staff and other end users; IT Operations / infrastructure teams; Finance Systems team members; Service Desks; and 3rd party vendors, such as Oracle
Required:
- 5+ years of demonstrable, hands-on knowledge of Essbase
- Working experience with Oracle EPM
- Strong technical skills, with a good work ethic
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A "can do" attitude with a focus on business outcomes is key
