Our client, a boutique cost management firm within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, is seeking a Director of Scheduling to join their vibrant team in New York City. The firm, renowned for its high-quality work on prestigious projects such as the NYC Moynihan Train Hall Station redevelopment and enhancements at the U.S. Capitol Building, is looking for someone with your expertise.
Position Summary:
As a Scheduler, you will play a pivotal role in building schedules from concept level and taking them through project completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level scheduler with an interest in federal and public sector architectural and engineering design projects. This career-track position offers numerous opportunities for growth, leadership development, and mentorship with our project management team. This position will be based full time in our client’s office working on a variety of projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ of recent experience in construction scheduling using Primavera P6 software in project controls.
- Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management time-impact analysis, delay claims, and change orders analysis.
- Experience working with MTA agencies and railroad projects preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
- Ability to create simple and complex analytical reports of schedule.
- Power Business Intelligence (“BI”) experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience comprehending drawings and specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Understanding of construction and construction means and methods.
- Certification by Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (“AACE”) in planning and scheduling, or Project Management Professional (“PMP”) Certification preferred.
