Position Summary
The Director of Safety is responsible for overseeing and implementing all safety programs and initiatives within the company. This position will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs and policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Train and educate employees on safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain accurate safety records and reports.

- Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in safety management, transportation, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the transportation industry, with a focus on safety.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations, including FMCSA regulations.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective safety programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
