Position Title: Network Security Architect
Location: Austin, TX -- Hybrid on-site
Department: Information Security
Reports To: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Security Architect to design and re-design the Network security model statewide. This role will report directly to the CISO and work closely with the agency’s Chief Security Officer (CSO). The Network Security Architect will play a crucial role in defining all network designs to ensure compliance with security standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Security Design:
- Design and re-design the Network security model to ensure robust protection against threats.
- Ensure all network designs comply with established security standards and practices.
Security Monitoring:
- Implement top-of-the-line network security monitoring solutions to detect and respond to security incidents.
- Continuously evaluate and improve network security monitoring processes and tools.
Collaboration and Leadership:
- Participate in architecture review boards and Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to provide expert input on network security.
- Work closely with teammates to get acclimated to the environment and then operate independently.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all network designs and implementations are in compliance with security policies and industry best practices.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to ensure network security posture remains strong.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide high-level network administration and architectural expertise to support the design and implementation of secure network solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex network security issues and provide effective solutions.
