The Director, Enterprise Risk Management (Product Risk and Enterprise Risk Reporting Team) will have responsibilities in all aspects of the enterprise-wide risk management program, with a particular emphasis on Product Risk Management supporting payment systems. This role is both a strategic and tactical position, where the candidate will facilitate and lead interfacing with functional units to evolve the organization’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework, and establish, communicate, and execute risk management methodology, processes, risk appetite and risk culture. Additionally, the role will involve extensive interaction with external stakeholders, including supervisors and the Enterprise Risk Committee.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business administration, finance, or a related area.
- At least 6-8 years of first or second line risk management experience (preferably related to Operations, Technology, or Product management).
- 8+ years of financial services work experience managing and implementing enterprise-wide projects, multi-tasking on projects with competing priorities, risk assessments, due diligence, Operational Risk Management (ORM) and/or ERM.
- Applied knowledge of product change governance processes, including risk review and challenge of new products and/or changes to existing products.
- Proven experience in working with or contributing to development of an ERM and/or ORM framework in a dynamic and complex organization.
- Applied experience with risk governance and control industry frameworks, such as COSO or equivalents.
- Current knowledge of regulations and emerging industry risks and trends in the finance, banking and payments system industry.
- Ability to understand management objectives, risk appetite, tolerances and impact of changes to risk profiles.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Must be collaborative, innovative, resourceful, results oriented, with appropriate judgment.
Qualifications desired:
- Product risk management experience in the payments industry.
- Experience working with IT risk frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, and ITIL.
