One of Insight Global's clients is seeking a Network Security Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the enterprise network and IT infrastructure. This position is 5 days a week onsite in Irving, TX.
This is full-time direct-hire on W2. Candidate must be able to work without sponsorship. Unable to accommodate C2C for this position.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years of network administration experience.
- CCNP / JNCIP / JNCIS or relevant experience.
- Advanced experience with Firewall, Routing, Switching technologies (i.e. Aruba, Juniper, etc.)
- Advanced experience with SDWAN technologies (MUST HAVE VELOCLOUD)
- Advanced experience in various Network CLI languages such as Aruba, Cisco, or Juniper.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring efficient and reliable application and system services delivery.
- Participating in reviews to ensure supportability and standards.
- Creating new standards for stability and scalability.
- Researching and recommending automated approaches for network and system administration.
- Authoring governance documents related to network architectures.
- Administering core network, wireless, and remote office infrastructures.
- Providing advanced support for network, application, and system issues.
- Installing and configuring hardware as per standards.
- Verifying the integrity and availability of hardware and systems.
- Performing data backups and recovery operations.
- Mentoring junior network administrators and engineers.
- Occasional travel to data centers and other locations is also required.
